xfer revision 1.2.2.1
1.1 briggs Installation is really only supported from the local Macintosh
1.2 briggs hard drive or from an AppleShare volume. This means that you'll
1.2 briggs need at least enough room for the largest file that you will have
1.2.2.1 briggs to install. This is the 6.2M base11 file. There has been talk
1.2 briggs of allowing an install from split files. If you have the time,
1.2 briggs desire, and knowledge, please feel free to add that functionality.
      1.2 briggs
1.2 briggs If the install is being done from an AppleShare-mounted volume,
1.2 briggs the install utility must be in the same folder as the data files.
      1.1 briggs
1.1 briggs There will be two images of each file. One in "raw" Unix format
1.2.2.1 briggs and one in a binhex format. Therefore, base11 and base11.hqx both
1.2.2.1 briggs contain the same information, but base11.hqx has been encoded in
1.1 briggs binhex format. Download the files; if necessary, decode them so
1.2.2.1 briggs you have all of the files as base11, etc11, etc. This can be
1.1 briggs accomplished from the .hqx files by using _Stuffit Expander_ or
1.1 briggs any one of a number of freeware and shareware Macintosh tools.
      1.1 briggs
1.1 briggs You will also need to collect the MacOS tools:
      1.1 briggs Mkfs,
1.1 briggs MacBSD Install Utility, and
      1.1 briggs MacBSD Booter.
      1.1 briggs
1.1 briggs These three are compacted and in binhex form as mkfs.cpt.hqx,
  1.2.2.1 briggs installer.1.0.cpt.hqx, and booter.1.9.cpt.hqx, respectively.
      1.1 briggs
1.1 briggs Extract them as you would any other Macintosh applications. The
1.1 briggs sources should be in the same place with "src" somewhere in the
      1.1 briggs filename.
