      3  1.1  kardel This is a distribution of the Network Time Protocol (NTP) Version 4
      4  1.1  kardel sources and documentation. NTP can be used by Unix, DEC VMS and
      5  1.1  kardel Microsoft Windows NT platforms to synchronize the computer clock to
      6  1.1  kardel external sources of time, such as other NTP time servers or a local
      7  1.1  kardel radio clock. The daemon included in this distribution can operate as a
      8  1.1  kardel server, a client, or a relay from a set of servers to a dependent client
      9  1.1  kardel population on a local net. This distribution includes the daemon itself,
     10  1.1  kardel plus utility programs and supporting documentation.

     16  1.1  kardel compressed tar archive ntp-<version>.tar.gz in the pub/ntp directory on

     18  1.1  kardel and development version numbers can be found at <http://www.ntp.org>.

     20  1.1  kardel A considerable amount of documentation, including build instructions,
     21  1.1  kardel configuration advice, program usage and miscellaneous information is
     22  1.1  kardel included in the ./html directory of this distribution. The intended
     23  1.1  kardel access method is using a web browser such as netscape; however, the
     24  1.1  kardel pages have been formatted so that viewing with an ordinary text editor
     25  1.1  kardel is practical. Start the browser on the ./html/index.html page, which
     26  1.1  kardel contains additional instructions and hotlinks to the remaining pages.
