      3  1.1      cgd This is a program which I wrote as a clone of the UNIX 'units'
      4  1.1      cgd command.  I threw it together in a couple days, but it seems to work,
      5  1.1      cgd with some restrictions.  I have tested it under DOS with Borland C and
      6  1.1      cgd Ultrix 4.2, and SunOS 4.1.

     10  1.1      cgd    it can gracefully handle exponents larger than 9 in output
     11  1.1      cgd    it uses 'e' to denote exponentiation in numbers
     12  1.1      cgd    prefixes are listed in the units file
     13  1.1      cgd    it tries both -s and -es plurals
     14  1.1      cgd    it allows use of * for multiply and ^ for exponentiation in the input
     15  1.1      cgd    the output format is somewhat different
