  1.1 mrg About XCB util
  1.1  mrg ==============
  1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg The xcb-util module provides a number of libraries which sit on top of
1.1 mrg libxcb, the core X protocol library, and some of the extension
1.1 mrg libraries. These experimental libraries provide convenience functions
1.1 mrg and interfaces which make the raw X protocol more usable. Some of the
1.1 mrg libraries also provide client-side code which is not strictly part of
1.1 mrg the X protocol but which have traditionally been provided by Xlib.
  1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg These libraries are currently included, roughly ordered by maturity:
  1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg render-util: Convenience functions for the Render extension.
1.1 mrg aux: Convenient access to connection setup and some core requests.
1.1 mrg atom: Standard core X atom constants and atom caching.
  1.1 mrg property: Callback X property-change handling.
1.1 mrg icccm: Both client and window-manager helpers for ICCCM.
1.1 mrg keysyms: Standard X key constants and conversion to/from keycodes.
1.1 mrg event: Callback X event handling.
1.1 mrg image: Port of Xlib's XImage and XShmImage functions.
  1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg If you find any of these libraries useful, please let us know what
1.1 mrg you're using and why you aren't in a mental hospital yet. We'd welcome
1.1 mrg patches/suggestions for enhancement and new libraries; Please report any
1.1 mrg issues you find to the freedesktop.org bug tracker, at:
