  1.1.1.2 mrg ------------------------------------------------------------------------
      1.1 mrg What works:
      1.1 mrg - Supports 8bpp, 15/16bpp, 24bpp and 32bpp. Heavy testing on ViRGE DX.
1.1 mrg - There is some known instability in ViRGE GX2, please report problems.
1.1 mrg - Silken Mouse is enabled by default, use the generic server option of
1.1 mrg -nosilk to disable it.
      1.1 mrg
      1.1 mrg XCONFIG options:
      1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg The driver supports quite a few different XConfig options, which can
1.1 mrg be used to tune the driver and improve performance. Without any options,
1.1 mrg the driver will use conservative settings which should work on most
1.1 mrg hardware. Large improvements in performance are possible by selecting
1.1 mrg the proper options, which will probably work on most systems.
      1.1 mrg
      1.1 mrg Cursor:
      1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg - "hwcursor" "off" behaves exactly like "swcursor". Default: "on"
1.1 mrg - "swcursor" will disable the HW Cursor. HW Cursor is used by default and
1.1 mrg no option is needed to enable it.
      1.1 mrg
      1.1 mrg Display:
1.1 mrg - "ShadowFB" Use shadow framebuffer. Disables HW acceleration. Default: off.
1.1 mrg - "Rotate" " cw "|" ccw " Rotate the screen CW - clockwise or CCW - counter
1.1 mrg clockwise. Disables HW Acceleration and HW Cursor, uses ShadowFB.
      1.1 mrg Default: no rotation.
1.1 mrg - "XVideo" Disable XVideo support by using the off option. This changes FIFO
1.1 mrg settings which prevent screen noise for high-res modes. Default: on
      1.1 mrg
      1.1 mrg Video memory:
      1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg - "slow_edodram" will switch the standard ViRGE to 2-cycle edo mode. Try this
1.1 mrg if you encounter pixel corruption on the ViRGE. Using this option will
1.1 mrg cause a large decrease in performance.
1.1 mrg - "fpm_vram" will switch the ViRGE/VX to fast page mode vram mode
      1.1 mrg - "slow_dram " | " fast_dram" Change Trio 3D and 3D/2X memory options.
1.1 mrg Default: Use BIOS defaults.
      1.1 mrg - "early_ras_precharge", "late_ras_precharge" adjust memory parameters. One
1.1 mrg of these will us the same settings as your video card defaults, and
1.1 mrg using neither in the config file does the same.
1.1 mrg - "set_mclk" sets the memory clock, format is:
      1.1 mrg Option "set_mclk" "50000"
1.1 mrg in the XF86Config file. Valid values are any
      1.1  mrg 	integer <= 100000, where 100000 == 100 MHz.
1.1 mrg - "set_refclk" sets the ref clock for ViRGE MX, format is:
      1.1 mrg Option "set_refclk" "50000"
      1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg Acceleration and graphic engine:
      1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg - "NoAccel" turns off all acceleration
      1.1 mrg - "fifo_aggressive", "fifo_moderate" and "fifo_conservative" alter the settings
1.1 mrg for the threshold at which the pixel FIFO takes over the internal
1.1 mrg memory bus to refill itself. The smaller this threshold, the better
1.1 mrg the acceleration performance of the card. You may try the fastest
1.1 mrg setting ("aggressive") and move down if you encounter pixel corruption.
1.1 mrg The optimal setting will probably depend on dot-clock and on color
1.1 mrg depth. Note that specifying any of these options will also alter other
1.1 mrg memory settings which should increase performance, so you should at
1.1 mrg least use "fifo_conservative" (this uses the chip defaults).
1.1 mrg - Common XAA acceleration options to disable primitives for test purposes:
      1.1 mrg "XaaNoScreenToScreenCopy"
      1.1 mrg "XaaNoSolidFillRect"
      1.1 mrg "XaaNoColor8x8PatternFillRect"
      1.1 mrg "XaaNoImageWriteRect"
      1.1 mrg "XaaNoPixmapCache"
      1.1 mrg
      1.1 mrg PCI bus:
1.1 mrg - "pci_burst" will enable PCI burst mode. This should work on all but a
1.1 mrg few "broken" PCI chipsets, and will increase performance. Option may
1.1 mrg take a parameter "on", "off", "yes", etc...
1.1 mrg - "pci_retry" will allow the driver to rely on PCI Retry to program the
1.1 mrg ViRGE registers. "pci_burst" must be enabled for this to work.
1.1 mrg This will increase performance, especially for small fills/blits,
1.1 mrg because the driver does not have to poll the ViRGE before sending it
1.1 mrg commands to make sure it is ready. It should work on most
      1.1 mrg recent PCI chipsets.
      1.1 mrg
1.1 mrg ViRGE MX LCD options:
      1.1 mrg - "lcd_center"
1.1 mrg - "set_lcdclk" allows setting the clock for a ViRGE MX LCD display. Format is:
      1.1 mrg Option "set_lcdclk" "30000"
1.1 mrg in the config file. Valid values are ?
      1.1 mrg
      1.1 mrg Debug:
1.1 mrg - "ShowCache" Enable or disable viewing offscreen cache memory. A
1.1 mrg development debug option. Default: off.
1.1 mrg - "mx_cr3a_fix" Enable or disable a cr3a fix added for ViRGE MX.
      1.1 mrg Default: on.
      1.1 mrg
      1.1 mrg
