hardware revision 1.1
1NetBSD/amiga 1.0 runs on any amiga that has a 68020 or better CPU 2with some form of FPU and MMU. The minimal configuration requires 34M of RAM and about 65M of disk space. To install the entire system 4requires much more disk space, and to run X or compile the system, 5more RAM is recommended. (4M of RAM will actually allow you to 6compile, however it won't be speedy. X really isn't usable on a 74M system) 8 9Here is a table of recommended HD partition sizes for a full install: 10 partition: advise, with X, needed, with X 11 root (/) 15M 15M 10M 10M 12 user (/usr) 65M 100M 45M 80M 13 swap ----- 2M for every M ram ----- 14 local (/local) up to you 15 16As you may note the recommended size of /usr is 20M greater than 17needed this is to leave room for a kernel source and compile tree 18as you will probably want to compile your own kernel. (GENERIC is 19large and bulky to accommodate all people). 20 21Supported devices include: 22 A4000 IDE controller. 23 SCSI host adapters: 24 33c93 based boards: A2091, A3000 and GVP series II. 25 53c80 based boards: 12 Gauge, IVS and Wordsync. 26 53c710 based boards: Magnum, Warp Engine and Zues. 27 Video controllers: 28 ECS, AGA and A2024 built in on all amigas. 29 Retina Z2 and Retina Z3. 30 Ethernet controllers: 31 A2065 Ethernet 32 Hydra Ethernet 33 Tape drives: 34 Most SCSI tape drives, including 35 Archive Viper, Cipher SCSI-2 ST150. 36 CD-ROM drives: 37 Most SCSI CD-ROM drives 38 Amiga floppy drives. 39 Amiga parallel port. 40 Amiga serial port. 41 Amiga mouse. 42 43If its not on this list, there is no support for it in this release. 44
