1 Groff (GNU Troff) is a document processor which reads plain text mixed 2 with formatting commands and produces formatted output. Included in this 3 release are implementations of troff, pic, eqn, tbl, refer, the -man 4 macros and the -ms macros, and drivers for PostScript, TeX dvi format, HP 5 LaserJet 4 printers, HTML format (still alpha), and typewriter-like 6 devices. Also included is a modified version of the Berkeley -me macros, 7 an enhanced version of the X11 xditview previewer, and an implementation 8 of the -mm macros. 9
