      1 This directory contains a series of test scripts which are used to
      2 verify basic functionality of the LDAP libraries and slapd.
      3 
      4 	To run all of the tests, type "make test".
      5 	To run MDB tests, type "make mdb".
      6 	To run SQL tests, define SLAPD_USE_SQL=<rdbms> and type
      7 		"make sql"; define SLAPD_USE_SQLWRITE=yes
      8 		to enable write tests as well.
      9 	To run WT tests, type "make wt".
     10 	To run regression tests, type "make regressions"

     12 The test scripts depends on a number of tools commonly available on
     13 Unix (and Unix-like) systems.  While attempts have been made to make
     14 these scripts reasonably portable, they may not run properly on your
     15 system.  You may have to adjust your path so that compatible versions
     16 of tools used are available to the scripts and/or you may have to
     17 install replacement tools.  Platform specific hints may be found at:

     20 To modify the debug level the tests run slapd with, set the SLAPD_DEBUG
     21 environment variable.
     22 	env SLAPD_DEBUG=1 make test
